Passengers Awaiting Decision from Court of Appeal on Flight Delays or Cancellations

Will the Airlines be made to pay?

Thousands of passengers are waiting for the Court of Appeal to make a decision regarding flight delays or cancellations due to technical faults.

Jet2 have requested permission to appeal against previous court rulings, which ruled in favour of the passengers. The current ruling means that passengers are able to claim for flight compensation due to technical faults.

Despite the ruling in favour of the passengers, airlines have tried to avoid paying claims for technical faults and refuse to pay until a decision is made by the Supreme Court.

It is expected the court will have made a decision by the end of November and if all goes in favour of the passengers, airlines will be forced to pay out.

Big thanks for the £304.70 transferred to my bank account today. My claim related to a three-leg flight from Norwich UK to Phoenix USA via Schiphol. The CAA suggested I had a good case but could do nothing because the delay occurred within Dutch jurisdiction. I twice did battle with KLM/Delta myself but they would not budge. Another claims firm tried but threw in the towel. So congratulations to Claim4Flights for taking it on and winning – and for getting the money transferred into my bank account within two days of notification. Very impressed!
