Easyjet revealed as the most delayed airline

easyJet Plane 2

Arriving on average 24 minutes late, easyJet have been named as the most delayed airline according to Civil Aviation Authority(CAA) data, analysed by The BBC Data Unit. easyJet flights were particularly affected by the French Air Traffic Control strikes which took place during the summers of 2015 and 2016, as many of the airline’s flights enter French airspace.

A spokesperson from easyJet stated: “Despite a number of adverse external factors like increasingly congested airspace, particularly in the London area, and record numbers of Air Traffic Control strikes, over the last year, easyJet has actually reduced the proportion of flights delayed by more than three hours.

“We work hard to minimise disruption and fully comply with all relevant regulations.”

Irish based airline, Aer Lingus fared the best with an average delay of only 12 minutes.

Big thanks for the £304.70 transferred to my bank account today. My claim related to a three-leg flight from Norwich UK to Phoenix USA via Schiphol. The CAA suggested I had a good case but could do nothing because the delay occurred within Dutch jurisdiction. I twice did battle with KLM/Delta myself but they would not budge. Another claims firm tried but threw in the towel. So congratulations to Claim4Flights for taking it on and winning – and for getting the money transferred into my bank account within two days of notification. Very impressed!
