Baby Born Aboard Jet Airways Flight Gifted Free Air Travel for Life

Jet Airways Plane in Flight

A Jet Airways flight from Saudi Arabia to India welcomed on board a new addition to the world. A mother went into premature labour mid-flight on Sunday and with the help of cabin crew, one of whom was a trained nurse and a paramedic, gave birth to a healthy boy. This is the first mid-flight birth for the Indian based airline and to honour the occasion the airline gifted the baby a lifetime of free flights. The airline made the announcement via a humorous online tweet:

In 2009, AirAsia awarded a baby an unconditional lifetime of flights after being born aboard a 2-hour flight from Penang to Kuching. Most airlines allow expectant mothers to travel up to 36 weeks into pregnancy but require a signed letter from a doctor from 28 weeks onwards.

Big thanks for the £304.70 transferred to my bank account today. My claim related to a three-leg flight from Norwich UK to Phoenix USA via Schiphol. The CAA suggested I had a good case but could do nothing because the delay occurred within Dutch jurisdiction. I twice did battle with KLM/Delta myself but they would not budge. Another claims firm tried but threw in the towel. So congratulations to Claim4Flights for taking it on and winning – and for getting the money transferred into my bank account within two days of notification. Very impressed!
